Invisalign or clear aligners are a transparent plastic tray that is placed over the teeth, they must be worn all the time except for when you are brushing, eating or drinking anything except for water, at least a total of 22 hours per day. The goal of this cosmetic treatment is to slowly straighten the misaligned teeth to the desired place.
What Is Invisalign?
How Does It Work?
You will receive your first pair of Invisalign trays that you will have to wear all the time, except for when eating, brushing or drinking. After a couple of weeks of wearing your first set, you will be issued with a second set that you will have to wear. Each set of trays slowly gets tighter so that the teeth can move to the desired position. Depending on how severe the case is you may get more or less sets of trays.
How Long Does The Treatment Take?
Depending on the amount of movement needed the treatment time will vary. If needing to only align a few teeth the treatment will be shorter where as if multiple teeth are needing to be moved the treatment will take longer.
What's The Difference Between Braces And Clear Correct/Invisalign?
Unlike braces, with clear correct you can simply remove the aligners from your teeth so you are able to eat the things you love without worrying about breaking a bracket. Clear correct is very hygienic compared to having braces, you are able to remove the trays so its easier to floss and brush your teeth like normal without having the brackets. Its a lot easier for your toothbrush to remove all of the plaque and bacteria. Aligners are also almost invisible, so most people wont even notice you are wearing them.
How Much Does It Cost?
The cost of the treatment will depend on how many teeth are needing to be re-aligned and the time frame needed.
