Teeth whitening is a dental procedure where the goal of the treatment is to remove discoloured shades or staining from the enamel of the tooth, our dental clinic provides two different options to lighten your teeth. If you are concerned that your teeth may be yellow, discoloured or stained then this cosmetic procedure may be the best solution for you.
The procedure begins off with placing a protective barrier around your soft tissue and gums so the teeth are isolated. Then we place the whitening gel directly onto the teeth and activate the gel with the blue light for 15 minutes. Once the 15 minutes is complete then we repeat the cycle another 3 more times. After all 4 cycles are complete then we simply just remove the barriers and excess gel.
Teeth whitening is a completely safe procedure. During the procedure you will have protective glasses to protect your eyes from getting damaged from the blue light. As well as your cheeks and gums having a protective barrier so they are not exposed during the treatment.
In our dental surgery we provide two different treatment option for whitening your teeth. we have the in-chair whitening procedure where our dentist will do the treatment for you and it only takes one appointment that usually takes 1 hour. We also have our take home whitening kit where you can do it yourself at home, the results do take longer to appear compared to the in-chair treatment as the concentration of the gel is less strong.
Teeth whitening treatment will not affect any previous dental treatment that has been done in the past.
